Typical of the style and reputation that Hatteras has built over many years, the quality of workmanship as well as choice of fabrics and finishes of this yacht are impressive as few others today. Every rounded corner, every sweep of exotic woodwork is softened by a matt finish, producing unsurpassed visual depth to the fine teak, Java and African mahogany, and other exotics. Spacious salon and staterooms boast couches in buttersoft leather, blending fashion and comfort to the highest level.
Performanceand safetyis ingrained in the yacht as in the Hatteras brand name. The hull is made of hand laid solid fiberglass, with no coring below the waterline, and also in areas above the waterline where thru-hulls are installed. Heavy stress areas in the bottom, receive overlaps for additional strength. Divinycell foam coring in the balance of the hull reduces weight, yet provides stiffness, strength, and impact resistance without the risk of water intrusion.
The spacious aft deck is made for entertaining, with a full teak table and molded-in lounge. Overhead lighting and speakers complete the arrangement.
Down the molded-in circular staircase to the main deck, inside the twin stainless steel sliding doors is the expansive, soothing salon, beautifully decorated with fully functional teak and mahogany, sturdy and fashionable cushions and leathers. An expanse spreading to 377 sq.ft. of space, the entire salon aura conveys an esthetically pleasing cocoon warmth, with the full 18’ beam width devoted to matching sides – twin sofas and twin club chairs.
On the lower deck, the master stateroom is a crown jewel, a combination of full-beam roominess and excellent design for form and function. Natural light floods into the large windows by day, enhancing a water-level view that is no less than stunning. Its king-sized island berth dominates the space, but there is ample room for a custom headboard, twin nightstands, a double dresser and cedar-lined wardrobes. A plasma TV and entertainment center takes care of those late night programs-not-to-miss. The décor includes custom wall coverings, his and her heads with vanities and separate entryways, plus a shared shower.
There are 4 staterooms in all, 3 doubles and 1 twin.
This Hatteras 80 has plenty to offer in terms of water toys.
The Dominator 780, succeeds in combining various fundamental aspects for the success of a top level yacht: modern and captivating lines, innovative and unique solutions, aiming to reduce and overcome the barriers between internal and external spaces, wide rooms and excellent living comfort both inside and outside the yacht and on the fly bridge. All this, to concede moments of pure comfort to the charterer and to his guests.
The lateral glazed framework of the lounge - which on the starboard side reaches down to the deck bridge - offers a spectacular view on the sea, whilst comfortably lying on the luxurious chaise longue. The limit between inside and outside is overcome: the yacht is no longer a closed environment, but a "fluid" space, which perfectly integrates itself with the surrounding environments.
The charter guests are welcomed in 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins, all with ensuite bathrooms. The designers have devised two wide horizontal window frames in
the master cabin, that allow for views towards the
sea from both sides of the yacht.
The external spacesof the Dominator 780 are really surprising: the flying bridge is majestically wide and in spite of the small crane and the tender astern, the living area offers an ample settee with a table for 8 people, a spacious sun deck and the mobile bar.
The Italian crew is made up of the Captain, a stewardess/Chef and a deckhand and they all speak English.

It
has been an interesting event, especially in the light of the current
financial crisis that is affecting every industrial sector.
It has been attended by many marketing
and communication managers of shipyards, brokerage and charter
companies. It was a splendid opportunity to network and exchange
opinions over where the yachting sector is going to.
Personally, I identified a few stimulating ideas:
Marketing
activities in the near future could take a rather defensive stance
meaning that not much will be spent on external media. However,
investments could be made taking the time to review past marketing activities and to plan for the future.
Budget crunch could also mean having to turn towards less expensive media: Internet and unconventional marketing. Get the Stories going, dump the hype!
Time is ripe also for online videos!
Connection speeds are more than acceptable now and Google algorithms
reward this medium too. Therefore, it would make sense to publish
online all existing video material, possibly with just little tweaks in
order to make them more Web usable.
For anybody who has not been
able to attend and for those who attended but have not had the time to
put together the gathered material from the forum, for dissemination
within their own company, I prepared an (unofficial) abstract of all the speeches:
